Assignments

 Assignment #1
Make 3-4 icons representing everyday things like coffee, football, movies or camping with only white and black shapes and lines.
I think I did a good job for my first time, I think a few more days of preparation would have been nice but this is good, I'm proud of it.

Assignment #2
In this assignment we had to do a 3 by 3 grid with different patterns. The top three are texture/pattern related. The middle three focuses on value. And the last three allows me to use gray to add depth. All in all I think I made good choices with the images and I like how this turned out.

Assignment #3
I had to make a color wheel for this assignment. For this, I used the Apple and Ipod. I wished I was allowed to use white for the click wheel but I think it still looks good.

Assignment #4
This is a tribute to one of the most famous pop artists. This is, of course, yours truly with 4 different color schemes.

Assignment #5
This is my favorite so far. This is made of random little pictures to form another picture, a larger one. I chose Labradors because I thought they were adorable. I don't think I could have done better. I'm really proud of this one.

Assignment #6
We used different pictures to make up what we would do if we "crossed the road". Honestly, this is not my favorite. I feel like i should have done better with this.

Assignment #7
In this one, we had to blend ourselves in a picture with a celebrity, a picture of friends, etc. I chose 3 Doors Down because they are my favorite band and I think I did okay on this. I only had one day so I feel this is acceptable enough.

Assignment #8
I really liked this assignment. This was formed with type only. If you zoom up, you would see letters where the black is. This is called typography. If I had to do this differently, I would honestly choose a different picture and do it again, it was too much fun!!!!!

Assignment #9
This was kind of a one day assignment. I still had fun with balancing values and the typography but I felt a bigger project would have been more enjoyable.

Assignment #11
I took this picture outside of my house on my way home from school. We had to use a song's lyrics and then take a picture of whatever we thought when we listened to it. I chose "Landing in London", a song about being away from home and missing everyone. A special thanks to my twin sister, Payton, who posed for me!

                                                                    Assignment #12
In this assignment, I had to take pictures of natural objects that look like letters. The pictures are technically Assignment #10. I had fun with this project at first, but then it became nerve-raking to find the last letter and trying to perfect it. From a scale from 1 to 10 I choose 6, because I still had a lot of fun having people stare at me taking random pictures! :)

Assignment 13
This was a group effort. We would make a body part then put them together to get a surprise body. I did the head, I thought it would be fun, but then it kinda became boring when I had to wait for my other group members to fix their picture sizes and coloring. Oh well, scale 1 to 10, I score it 7.5

Assignment #14
In this assignment, I had to make a poster for a specific career in graphic design/photography. My career was obviously Advertising Photographer. I used different posters, ads, etc. for the background and obviously used a giant camera to symbolize photography. I think I did really well in this. I give it a 8.5 out of 10.
Assignment #15
In this assignment, I had to create an illuminated manuscript (see History Podcasts on the Home page) and use a song with an initial cap in the beginning. I used a nature theme, I like putting the flowers and the birds in there with primary colors. I used "God Gave Me You" by Blake Shelton because when I think of country, I think nature. I also love that song and wanted to immortalize it in this. I had a lot of fun with this project, I give it a 9 out of 10.

Assignment #16
I like this one a lot because I am a huge history lover, which is why I like this time line. I like it because I came up with the idea of using a monopoly game as a timeline, fun but educational. 9.5 out of 10!

Assignment #16

Assignment #20
In this assignment, we had to pick a portrait of an animal or person and then make a logo for a social issue that relates to it. I knew most of my classmates would do drugs, drinking, or bullying, because its easier and its every where. But I chose to do "Save the Eagle" because it is an issue long forgotten. I mean, the bald eagle is almost extinct and its one of the U.S.'s most important animal. I give this project a 10, I think it looks great and I had a difficult and fun time with it!
